Fireproof and antistatic ball valves are used for natural gas, coal gas, LPG, city gas and non-corrosive gas pipelines.
Conductive springs between the ball, stem and body discharge static electricity to ground, preventing ignition of flammable media.
They feature dual sealing: if the soft seal melts at high temperatures, a metal hard seal takes over to maintain tightness.
Compared with standard ball valves, they offer wider application and higher safety, effectively preventing internal leakage in fire-hazardous areas.
Static buildup from operation may cause explosions in gas, oil or chemical lines.
Antistatic structures discharge static instantly, with resistance kept below 10 ohms at 12VDC as required.
These valves only provide emergency protection.
Additional explosion-proof and fire-retardant devices are required for gas and oil pipelines, in compliance with national standards
