Threeway ball valves feature long service life, large flow and low resistance. They are available in single-acting and double-acting types.Single-acting valves revert to the system's required position on power failure. Here is how they work
The working principle of a three-way ball valve:
A、
Closed: Ball is sealed against seat by stem pressure.
Turn handwheel counterclockwise: Stem lifts, ball separates from seat.
Stem continues rising and drives ball to rotate frictionlessly.
Fully open: Stem reaches top position and ball is fully open
B、
Turn handwheel clockwise to close; stem lowers and rotates the ball.
Stem and ball turn 90° via guide pin.
Ball rotates without contacting seat before closing.
Final turns wedge the ball tightly against seat for a perfect seal.
A three-way ball valve uses a rotating sphere to open and close.
It is mainly used to shut off, distribute and change medium flow direction.
